good used is always better than flashy new. i have a 1950's king seeley drill press. it was made for craftsman and was sold by sears. up until a couple of years ago, i could still buy parts new from sears. sears had some internal wranglings with their house tool supplier (who also did the old tool parts orders and fulfillment) and the parts went in the dumpster!!! ebay is good if you live in an industrial area and can pick up.
