We have a solid foot and a half in Wallace now. The last couple days it was very sticky and wet and brought down a lot of trees and power and phone lines, which is unusual for North Idaho. A lot of wires just pulled loose from the poles and buildings due to the weight of the snow on them. The power's been out a dozen times in the last few days. A lot of big trees on the hillside are leaning, which is unusual for pines up in the mountains that are usually used to a lot of snow. Had to work underneath one 30-degree leaner this afternoon helping my neighbor remove a tree that had just barely hit the roof of his house but was laying on the guy-wires for two electric poles and we had to tie off the sections so they would slide down the hill into his new back wall. We thought about taking the leaner down, but the trouble is if it didn't hang up in the tree below it, it would hit his house or his neighbors and he decided the insurance would pay if it came down on its own and damaged a house, but not if we cut it. There's no way to get a line on it from above, and nobody wants to try to climb it. Leaning like that, I don't think it'll survive the winter, so hopefully it'll hang in the tree below and then fall down in small pieces over the years as it rots.

Would love to take the Sno-Cat out and see how deep the snow is is up in the high hills, but I'm stuck on my M35 project for now.
