The NV4500 has carbon fiber synchros, that's why the special synthetic lubricant. Use of any product other than SynTorque could cause deterioration of the bonding agent in the carbon fiber. I would check with a knowledgeable Dodge dealer or a reputable tranny shop before using anything else.

Also the NV4500 has a problem with the 5th gear retaining nut. There are several fixes but it MUST BE FIXED. If it has already been repaired on the TSB by a Dodge dealer it will be stamped somewhere with "NEW NUT". If not it will be necessary to get one of the kits to replace the 5th gear nut. Loss of that nut takes out the whole Maryanne.....
