Dont ever allow people hanging onto them with a tag line, way way unsafe and accident prone, best way if one has poles up and is moving is to cross X boom the gin poles down to the bed or bumper of the truck, like the right pole is boomed to the left rear bumper and vice versa, simple chain boomers will work, some even weld a bar on the poles where the boomer chain goes so it will not slip if u are working on offroad ruff locations, cross x the poles with boomers and u will never regret it, when the poles come over and the blocks and 1 1/8 tailchain goes thru the windsheild on a Mack its too late, plus the tag line guy is liable to be killed if the poles become unattached up at the wishbone from a pothole bump, or u drive into a powerline, stay out of the killing feild circle of any winch trucks poles, they can crater at any time and whip around or become unloaded and are like a giant machete. Also never use chain hooks to set the angle on the bed to wishbone angle, buy the corect shackes(clevis's)
with the safey pin, they cant become undone if a bump or wire rope jumps the load and kill you or your wife or child, or pard. Good luck.
