i refuse to join, i dont read much into it, but the stuff i've heard is not good. i have 40+ WWII trucks, and get more info , pleasure from this site and both gordon's, yes, i agree that too much is on the jeep, but i'm a dodge guy. hve a 3 numbered 45' GPW and GP. Re-enactments, sound good,, they should have one at each national convention, envolve the members, local groups, kids etc,, I can see the money be spent there,, but to have 800,000, just laying around, and having members paying for nothing??? for 30+ years??? spend alittle,, set a budget, spend some, GIVE back the the members, i thought the National Convention was OK, NOt great, NOT bad... just OK. there was no WOW FACTOR... if your going to bring in the fans/public, (which brings in MORE money) bring the WOW factor back!!!! just seams that the org. has gotten old, no flare.... my 2cents of NON MEMBERSHIP, heck i have more fun in my shops, and save the money.. jc
