In my previous posts I explained that I had my tank renued and when re installed, the gauge reads full, when empty. I have dropped the tank again, disconnected the lead from the sender and it reads correctly as empty. As the sender worked fine before I'm convinced it still does I seem to be constantly hearing about the problem being a grounding problem with the sender itself or the tank. Previously with no coating on it my guess is that it was grounded that way. With the renued material coating it, and the area where the sender screws in( three tabs on a 3" cirlce that screws in the top of tank_) my guess is as suggested no ground.( I'm not to pysched to grind anything around the tank for fear of being a cartoon character if a spark happens)
Now with that in mind the suggestions where to ground the sender unit. My issue is without an attachment screws to hold it in, how would one do it? Also, if I grounded the sender, would the tank still need to be grounded? I'm going to drop the tank again ( royal pain)which never makes me comfortable (empty and full of fumes) so this is my chance. Help!!
