Well i managed to squeeze in 3 hrs on the WC53 today ,
So far this week I managed to find 2 NP 205 transfer cases and tear down the Dodge one .
Today I pressure washed the case , dryed it , painted the inside and managed to convert the shift rail to a double stick design . I just tested it and the transfer case will not shift into high and low at the same time . I can shift the front into front wheel drive high or low and the rear into rear wheel high or low as long as the opposite end is in neutral . The usual 4 wheel drive works fine too .
I was on a search up Mt Harvey this last Monday . I got to drag a 55 lb pack up 3000 ft . It was raining , but a nice balmy 15 degree C day . I am glad I did not have to use the rope gear . Rain , cliffs and rope do not mix .
