You should get involved in your local politics a bit more. In my personal opinion, most canidates for state offices are generally good people without any need "power". The same can be said of Presidents. Honestly, would you take a job that would get you ridiculed by 200,000,000 people in your own country? Would you make the right decision when it appeared to everyone else to be wrong? Would you work the single most thankless job in politics? For power, no way. You get ousted in 4 years, maybe 8.
Remember there is more to every story than meets the eye. Considering he is debreifed (not like Clinton was) every day by the most advanced information structure in the world, accept the fact that the President knows a whole lot more about foriegn affairs than any US citizen.
