has anyone ever attempted to install a oil seal into the front bearing retainer of the 4 gear tranny. I'm rebuilding mine now and like the M37's these trucks don't have an oil seal on the clutch input shaft. they use a left hand cut thread inside instead which in theory should return oil back to the case. has anyone measured the front bearing retainer cover to be machined for a oil seal to prevent oil leakage into the clutch area?
