Sorry, it must be soapbox day today.... Isn't there any way you could contact the city and ask if you could step in and save any vehicle due to it's rarity or somethin (at a price)?
It seems to me that reason and logic are falling by the wayside, and these politicians forget who their supposed to be representing. I remember being taught that our country was founded on individual rights. Now it's more like "What I Say Goes!" (Not me personally as I'm just a lowly pissant in the scheme of things.) and "I Know What's Best For The People, they're to stupid to understand."
I'm afraid I'll have to agree with what ragnar said about losin our republic. I fear we're witnessin it's deathrows (sp). I'm actually hoping I'm like Chicken Little though.
