During the winter of '68/'69 on the central Calif. coast, north of Morro Bay, we got 24" of rain in 2 weeks. A local guy had a small creek to cross every day of the year to go home. This time the water was higher, and killed his motor. He tried to open the driver's door and when he forced it open the water rushed into the cab and rolled the Jeep pickup over, drowning him. JH
