I agree that you should not create an eyesore for your neighbors, bUT, remember that what you or your neighbor consider acceptable does not compute to every person agreeing. Zoning is not so even handed. Usually the people elected to the board go too far with oridinances. SOme towns even regulate how high you can let your grass grow. This country was founded on the idea of personal property rights and egalitarianism. This means that the little voice has as much right as the big vvoice. Just don't try to tell me that the hallmark of democracy is majority rule because that is a crock. You do give up your proerty rights when zoning is instituted presumably for the "good" of the community. Problem here is that only a select few get to decide what is in the communities best interest and once power is given to the board they take it to extremes. Just my opinion.
