Well after a long trip from Ohio to CT we finally got to Bob C's house at 7:30 PM on Saturday. We were greeted by a very anxious Bob and his son Nick as we pulled up. A few minutes later Ken See and Terry Kenney pulled up, that's when the drooling started for all of them. This 1960 W 300 is a very nice clean truck so we had the "kid in the candy store" look as we inspected the truck. We got it off the trailer after a fine meal to put it under the flood lights. Even with just the light stand it was apparent that Bob had made a wise purchase. By this time Mark from NJ had joined us to admire Bob's new ride. Sunday morning in the daylight the red truck was shining in the sunlight. Bob took us out for breakfast and we left his place at 10:30. We got home at 12:30 this morning after an uneventful trip. It was good to see my eastern friends again so soon after the Vermont rally to share a few brief moments with them. Bob, thanks for the hospitality and you are welcome. Enjoy that new truck and we'll see you in Iowa next year if not before.
