Bleeding Brakes

Need advice on bleeding brakes. Had to put new master cylinder on due to old one leaking and now can not get a good pedal. How does every one else bleed theres. I am bleeding mine by pumping up to get pedal and looseing bleeders and letting fluid out and and closing bleeder and letting pedal back up. Brakes worked fine until this. Everything in brake system is pretty new. Thanks David
