Since you live in a humid climate similar to mine, I would suggest you immediately coat the freshly sandblasted metal with Picklex-20.
This is a metal treatment that will protect and dramatically slow down the formation of rust until you can paint it. Nevetheless, it does not last indefinitely, and the frame can't be outside or anything.
If you are going to keep the truck, you might be better off using epoxy primer and hardented urethane paint. POR is OK for a quick easy job, but if rust ever gets started under it due to a chip or scratch, you have problems because it does not adhere tightly to the metal. It is more like a super hard shell like coating. I have it on my tranny and a few other parts, but used the aforementioned paint on my frame and the rest of the truck.
