The unibody has never bothered me...stop dinging them and they're fine...ha!ha!
I've had two Grands and two Cherokees, all with unibodies, lifted, big tires, etc. no issues with it, but it is alot more rigid and quiet than a body on frame. The independent front suspension is what I don't like, the unibody doesn't bother me. My forst two Grands were Dana 44 front axles with coils, exactly like the Ram front end, it worked much better than the IFS.
