The official description of a WC-1 is "Closed Cab body with Express Body and Longitudinal Seats".

That should be a T207 series truck, so your engine number should start with T207 if it is original.

The starting serial number for that batch of trucks was: 8644701

The ending serial number was: 8666216

This means the first truck made was serial number 8644701.

If you take your serial number and subtract 8644700 you will get the build number of your truck.

8645937 for example is the 1237th truck made in that batch.

The sequence number is a leftover from the decoding of the PWs where the first three digits are the same from 1946-57, yet there are also breakdowns within that grouping for each year.

There were two groups of WC-1s made, 1175 in the first group and 1398 in the second.

Check your body tag, located on the passengers side front door jamb, that might help narrow down which group yours is from. All you need to do is compare that number to others who have WC-1s and know which batch theirs is from.

I hope this helps.

Eric
