Gloves can be bad too! When I was about 13 or 14 I was helping my father (he owned and operated a rigging company). We were moving a lathe on rollers and I was responsible for pulling the rear roller and moving it forward. I was wearing gloves and while attempting to put the roller in my glove got caught and went under the roller (which meant under the machine as well(. Luckily, I avoided any serious injury but boy did it hurt. I have never worn gloves doing that type of work since.
