Put a tape on it, If it's longer than 28" from the back of the block to the front of the fan, or whatever sticks out the farthest on the front of the motor, you are going to have a lot of modification to make it fit. Even to put a 265 engine in a Power Wagon requires the radiator itself to be pulled apart, the tanks flipped around backwards, re-soldered, the whole rad support needs to be flipped around backward to mount the radiator on the front side also. and then you only gain a couple of inches I think. the 265 is about 31" from the back of the block to the front of the fan. I seem to remember that Dan Shockleys M37 with the 3-53 was a pretty tight fit, and the M37's are easily (relatively) modified for the longer 265 engine. I think the height of the engine will cause interference with the oil pan/ front axle.

Dont get me wrong, you have a great package there, and I would buy it just to keep it for a project, but putting it in a PW IMHO is a bad idea. I would be on the lookout for a WWII 1.5 ton Chevrolet, which looks like a BIG Power Wagon (sort of) and transplant the engine into that. They have 6.16 gears in the axles, but can take 900-20 tires and sit up quite a bit higher than the PW. You can also get DUKW (amphibious 6x6 GMC from WWII) adapters for the rear axle and run single tires on the back. It takes a 9' bed.
Theres just more room under the hood to play with something like that with the Chevy, and it's all a GM package. Just my opinion.
