The 1/2 ton military and the civilian tailgates were the same
except for the name DODGE embossed in the center of the embossed
rectangle. The tailgates used on the WC51 3/4 ton series were the same
as used on the half ton militarys, except a pioneer tool rack
was bolted to the gate on the WC51 series. I have a civilian
gate on my 1/2 ton military WC-3, which I picked up in a wrecking
yard. I also have one, which I picked up later, from a WC51 which
has the pioneer rack. They are identical except for the Dodge name.
