Definitely the M37, no doubt at all. The ride is far superior. It's also set up for road driving with a Clark 280VO 5spd (5.98, 3.50, 1.86, 1.00, 0.80) and 4.89s and 36.9" 9.00R16 XZL Michelins. It runs 2580 rpm at 70 mph and stops properly with front disk brakes, also easy to drive with power steering.
The Power Wagon is set up for use in a village, which is where it's headed. It has 5.83s and only a rear locker (the M37 has lockers at both ends), and a SM420 4spd (7.05, 3.57, 1.70, 1.00), with >50% worn Michelin XLs (9.00R16) with studs. The visibility isn't as good and mainly the ride is too stiff. I re-sprung it with about 3" more height in front (from the worn-out place it was) and 1.5" in back, about 20% less stiff. I should have gone 40% less spring rate. Maybe I should pull a leaf or two from the front.
