On a lower posting Henry Jacobs asked for some sampling of what model distributor exists in Power Wagon Land.
I checked my 56 C4 PW...engine T137 xxxx 230 c.i. has a Toledo made Auto-lite distributor
Part # 1507456 ..... under that number are two seperate boxes which contain the Auto lite # IAY 4003B1 and the next box 4L818486.
This is a mechanical advance.
On a spare 218..... T307 equipped with a Sarnia, Canada Autolite Distributor....obviously a Canadian/Windsor engine.
Engine came from a dodge pick up two wheel drive.
This one as the vacuum advance.
Part # 1343993
Autolite # IAT 4004A and followed by 12E009288
One word of caution.... they are a bitch to read... first you have to spray them with brake cleaner and after finding the tag try to read it.
On the vacuum advance it is underneath and on givwn that I have bifocals what a bitch of a time.
Hoping this info will be useful.
