I agree with you in principle, but how is one truck covered in cosmoline in some backwater town going to affect the world market in power wagons? This guy will meet the elephant hide lady, cover his estate with preservative grease, and retire happily in eccentric bliss. Like you said, you can buy a number of pretty nice power wagons for that amount. things like this provide some much needed humor in this business!
