Always go back to basics Fuel + Fire and the fire has to be precise + HOT [ Timing + good cracking blue spark at coil wire and at spark plugs] Fuel I always have prefered a slightly rich mixture After a good run pull plugs and read the tips.Should be brownish in color.If fluffy+black too rich if grey or white too lean.Any motor expecially a Flathead will run stronger,cooler and last longer with mix a little on the rich side
