rebuilding my mu2 and have a few questions. I took it apart for inspection and installed new seals and gaskets, the vintage gasket set had 4 worm housing gaskets. It seems to me that proper bearing settings are attained with gaskets, is this why I got 4 in the kit? I also had to make 2 more 1/32" gaskets to shim it enough to prevent it from binding. The fit turns freely without any lash, is this right? Also, what is the purpose of the brake band and how do I set it up? Is there any good manuals or detailed shop manuals for these winches? I don't really have any knowledge of them and apreciate all input on operation,maintainance,and set up. Thanks much for the help, John
