Many thanks to Dave Horvath and his family for putting up with us for another wonderful Rally. It was great seeing all the familliar faces and meeting a bunch of new folks.
I just got home, 1330 miles round trip, but the travelling is almost as much fun as the Rally itself.
I think it is fair to say a good time was had by all. I had a "few" frustrations with my truck, to the point of putting a "For Sale" sign in the window saturday, hoping someone would buy it and hoping noboby would. Fortunately, nobody did.
The NP-540 is coming out (again) and an NP-435 is going back in. This should cure any tranny issues and will remedy the too short and too steep intermediate driveshaft angle. Anyone want an NP-540DD with all new bearings and seals?
The AGR (American Garbage Resellers) Super Pump (Number 2) died before I loaded the truck on the trailer wednesday night. It lasted a week (and about 3 miles) longer than the first one that died in less than 5 minutes. I am going to see about fitting the old Fisher plow pump back on and run with that.
Other than that I am pleased with the way the 318 ran and worked. Sure looking forward to making some headway with this project!
I will get some pics up as soon as I get things unpacked.
Tim
