a few weeks ago I went to the Feed Store &
got a pallet (1 ton) of wood pellets and
about 600 lbs of salt with the 48
left it parked in its shelter until last
weekend when I unloaded her - looked a bit
lower in the back when empty then i remembered that i had not put any penetrating
oil on the rear springs when i serviced her
so i sprayed & sprayed the springs then
parked her back away
when i looked yesterday she had returned to
her original height in the back
the spring leaves just needed some lube so they could work like they were intended to work.
lubing spring leaves was a standard proceedure on all lube jobs in the 50's
