I just pulled a few this weakend, I have employed two different methods. If the 3rd member is empty, you can fit a pipe through the double bearing cup and fit it against the splined washer and tap the seal out. The other way that can be done while in place on the truck. Drill 3 or 4 small holes on the outer diamitor of the seal, go all the way through both sides of the seal, then use some 1 1/2" screws that fit pretty tight into the holes, get them all in to where they bottom against the seal land ( the machined part of the 3rd member ) the threads will hold onto the seal and the screw will push against the machined land and the seal will come right out. be sure to tighten all the screws about the same amount working back and forth so the seal comes out square.
