Dave thanks I think that is my problem at this point looking at it a bit more the 1946 one ton truck third member hole where the splines go into is shallower than the PW/M37 third member by about a half inch give or take(need to find that micrometer thingy somewhere on the floor haha). I did not even think of the tracta's placement in relation to the knuckle for turning etc.
I'm going to also try to pull the third member from one of the 46WDX's tonight and measure the depth inside the third member. One of the WDX's I do not know the gear ratio and am curious anyways.
