My son inadvertently put about half a tank of gas in my Mercedes 190D. Ran about 10 miles before it died. I thought it was toast, remembering a Kubota diesel that required $5000 overhaul after a similar mishap. Anyway, I took it to the shop, they drained the tank blew out all the lines and replaced the filters--there was no damage to the engine! (your mileage may vary--do not try this at home)
