A 'Major' carrier's standard policy will be pricey, but OK for normal everyday useage without limits, but usually they pay only on book value, not on worth or replacement cost, so major insurers fully cover the person that you hit and your medical, but not the value of your own vehicle.
Looking at the cost to restore a truck properly in the $20,000 range and the amount that an insurance company will pay you for a total loss and you have a huge money gulf to bridge, in the event of an accident.
