I have done a lot of research today, and I find no mention of locking diffs on the M35A3. They have CCTIS; perhaps that's what you were remembering?

There were some A1's and A2's assigned to NATO in the Scandinavian area that had air lockers, but they were after-market, and I believe, made by a German company.
