Sun tachometer

I have a Sun tach on my '48 Power Wagon. Besides the rpm gauge on the steering column, there is a transmitter on the firewall. There are 2 wires running from the lower side of the transmitter, through the firewall, apparently to the gauge. There seem to be 2 more posts at this same location on the transmitter. If anyone has an old tach like this, I would like to know where else to connect the transmitter so as to get a reading on the gauge. Thanks for any help. JH
