Very small by our standards, the bomb load was only 8,000 lbs. If you are carrying 1,000 lbs bombs, that's 8 bombs. Imagine flying for 9 hours avaoiding fighters and flack only to drop 8 bombs? Most missions were with 500 lb or 250 lb bombs, at least it looked more impressive with 16 or 24 bombs falling away after a drop.
