The expertise of the American mechanics who keep it running. It has a lot of issues and parts have to be machined from scratch or salvaged from other non-flying birds to keep it going.
Remember, there is only ONE zero still flying and HUNDREDS of American built warbirds still going strong, even though they were designed to last only a few years.
