Years ago, the Town of Lake George was still running an old International with a drive line brake as a sander. The driver stopped on the steep part of our road to help a motorist that just went into the ditch and hit a tree. The truck then slid backward, the right had tires on the nearly clear shoulder of the road and the left hand tires on the glass ice on the crown of the road. Fortunately, the front end of the truck slid around and the truck overturned. The school bus was right behind it.
