That is a good point and very true. I still prefer the driveline brake on my 4 wheel drive though. One big reason is my trucks end up spending some time in the mountains on unimproved roads. If I am ever to lose my hydraulic brakes I can leave it in 4 wheel drive and still drive down the mountain using the parking brake. When in 4 wheel drive the driveline brake stops the vehicles more than adequately enough and much better than a cable rear system ever could.
