I know one thing I've learned - successfully pulling a broken bolt seems to be one of the most satisfying mechanic's tasks. Probably because when it breaks, it's the most depressing mechanic's screw ups. I drill as much as I can without touching the threads, then either tap or ez out, what ever works. I've broken ez outs too, that's worse than breaking the bolt.
