Although I dont know you except from this Forum, I am saddened to hear of your 12 year old sons diagnosis of Lymphoma.
Annualy there is a HUGE event in Seattle that I participate in that raises monies for the lukemia & lymphoma society. It is the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb. Theres literally hundreds of Firefighters from around the world who participate, and our team from Seattle is usally 20 strong.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I would be honored to do the challenge this year in your son's name. I would like a picture of him to attach to the shield of my helmet during the event if that's O.K. with your family
To the Forum,
I'm not much of a charity fund raiser, but I think this is a good cause that is close to our home (well, the forum is a home away from home right?!) As the date gets closer, and with Joe's permission, I would like to put out a message soliciting donations for the event. Remember, the money we raise benifits Kevins son.
