Sorry you got AOHELL. That place is harder than crack to stop. I'm using it until I can find out how to save my info on to another format as they use the secret AOL code.
As bad as it was, when they went to 9.0 it got worse. It's supposed to be their security format. Yeah right. I use broadband thru Comcast, but still keep AOL for now. IE is not a good or safe browser either, that's why we plan on going to Mollila & Firefox when I finally get things saved.
Way back when, we started with AT&T as a provider. They sold out to SBC, who was a major ripoff. We started getting $6K+ a month phone bills for what was $25.00 a month before they took over. It seems they changed our plan without telling us.
Comcast is the only game in town for cable in our area, so when they offered broadband, we jumped. Now AT&T is coming back (they bought out SBC), but I don't trust em anymore.
Comcast is okay, but there are issues. I think that soon everything is gonna be that WiFi crap. The city of Chicago is soon to be a WiFi free zone, and I think that's the way of the future, but remember, ANYTHING that goes over the airwaves is public domain. That's ANYTHING, and you have no right to expect privacy. That goes for cell phones too. HA!
