i feel bad for mike because he gets slammed here although he is trying to help. im not as technical as him but believe his info is sound. i also believe that you can enter decision paralysis when confronted with group think or too many conflicting information sources. it would be best
do what you want with tires / rims after digesting ALL the info posted here.
you were smart enough to choose power wagons as a hobby so you have to have something going on in the common sense department.

if / when you enter the life eternal, your wife will sell your tools & trucks on ebay for the amount you told her you spent on your trucks and tools!

i do not believe that rims / rings of the same type (i.e.) from the same truck are not interchangeable, but i do think that the rings and rims likely fit better when put back together grouped the same way as when they came apart. the wheels- rim and ring as a unit are subject to the same water, rust, paint etc.. and therefore should 'fit better' the above is based on my experience and seat of the pants figuring.

i try to avoid becoming a statistic whenever possible by farming out tire work and gas tank work. I could do it, i know how to do it and i respect those who do it safely on their trucks. i choose not to do it and being in the trucking business have come to the conclusion that the money spent having tires broken down and assembled is money well spent.

i could also combine hydrogen and oxygen to create a cool refreshing drink, but i leave that to the folks at poland spring. to each his own.
