1st off,thanks everyone for your comments. Tig was my first thought but I don't have access to one so I would have to take it to someone. We all know what that would take. Either drill out the rivets and remove the member or load up the frame and take it to someone. We are still in the rainy season so taking the frame out isn't an option and I spent a good part of yesterday drilling rivets out of my rear spring brackets.
Moving on now,I can't get a backing plate on without removing the crossmember. The cracks are prepped nicely. They are no more than 2" long so I think I can take care of them by just laying a good bead. As far as the ER70S-2, would a .030 or .035 dia. do the job? Thanks Again. Steve
