Hi Bryan:

I did say that, but you weren't following, but that's okay too. Japanese quaility? German quality? Like Nammy says (& I agree) are myths. Ya can't go by those comsumer reports as I suspect hidden agendas. I lost faith in them because of my garden tractor.

MTD makes (or made at the time) 13 different tractors under as many different brand names. All the same tractor mind you. They were all rated differently.

Mercedes, the German Chevy. It's no better than anything else, many even worse. We've all heard stories about Chevy's, F*rd's or Dodge's with a gazzillion miles on em with original oil & plugs.

I had an old Suburban that I used to plow snow with. 500,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. All I ever did to it was change fluid & plus + an occassional U Joint & brakes & exhaust.

Stereo equipment. The best you can get is American made, but it costs. Same with most products, but cost is generally to high for most of us. Again I have to agree with Nammy (don't let your head swell bro), when this "Global Economy" ruins us (and it will), we'll be dumped like a hot potato.

They couldn't beat us thru direct confrontation, so they're trying more subtle means, thru our wallets. Human nature hasn't changed. Ideally is one thing, reality is another as you tried to point out.

Again Bryan, this is just a little sidebar and has nothing to do with you personally. I hope ya find what your lookin for. BUT BUY AMERICAN!!!! snicker.

Later
Ugg
