The rear end is more or less in. At present the ass end is floating on some Dodge 1500 springs . Yes they are too soft but are close enough at this stage and work with what I have planned.
The 11 x 16 XZL tire fits just fine and is dead center in the wheel well. The Ford rear is from about a 1980 F350 and is perfect width - especialy if I run some fat tires. To be honest I would like the tires to sit out a tad more and may reverse the rims. I will remount a front fender and check out how the tire fits. I suspect 3/4 - 1 inch offset would work better.
To get the rear calipers to work properly and clear the spring bolts I had to rotate the caliper mounts back a further 15 degrees .
I just ordered in a new input shaft and adapter for the NV4500. 165 for the gear 65 for the bearing retainer thingie.
And to waste some time I started welding up the kazillion holes in the firewall.
I do not have a transfer case yet . I have to admit that I have considered an Atlas 4 speed or a stak 3 spd . I am not sure how they would hold up in what may be a 3 ton truck. A NP 203 and 205 would be pretty strong , but I am having trouble finding the cases . The last guy that was to bring me the cases seems to have gotten lost.
All those control sticks for the ORD doubler do look cool and would be right at home in a PW.

take care
