I have built two tanks for my yellow 6x6. I used 16 gauge CRS. They are about 48 inches long, 16 inches wide and 7 inches deep. I installed several baffels especially where it will be supported. These tanks are mounted outside of the frame rails in place of the running boards. I am running diesel fuel in them. If you make them out of 16 gauge and are using them for gasoline I would only mount them within the frame rails for safety.
