I used .7 because ummm... I read it once in Road and Track re: skid pan. Or maybe it's out of Machinery's Handbook. The sine of 45 degrees is .7071, isn't it? So tires would be the determining factor. But your link seems to say that hardly anything makes the torque, then goes on to say that the tires are the limiting factor. I dunno, but physical limitations certainly do apply.
