5.83's and 900x16 tires don't give you a comfortable cruzing speed at 55-60 mph. The 230 has the longest stroke of the flat head engines and is not going to last long at those speeds. 40mph is a comforatble engine speed for cruzing. If you have a 6 blade fan, it's going to add engine noise and give you the feeling that you may be over reving the engine. Get a tach and see what your engine rpm is at 30, 35mph.
