Another thing.
i am NOT new to Dodge flathead engines, owning more than 5 over the last 12 years, some rebuilt some with little mialage.
i have NEVER gootn all that fast speeds out of one. Even 4:89 equipped 1/2 tons, I know for certain I nEVER pushed one beyond 55-58 MPH TOPS!!!
rebuilt, balanced and all new everything and the baest I got was 58 MPH..
Maybe I am being overly cautiuos, where as the sound of a high reving engine makes me feel uncomfortable where as maybe one of you are more comfortable reving it much higher.
Its the only other logical expalnation I have for the obviuos Large gap in speed difference you all are acheiving vs. what I am able to squeeze out of my ride.
