It has very little to do with being macho. I also have news, truck tires are no more dangerous than the tires on my harley. In fact I would much rather drive an old Power Wagon around with incorectly installed tires than a Harley. As for inflating them, I figured on using an air compressor. I dont know where you got the idea that I plan on standing with my face near the lock ring, because I'm not. I'm glad you're concerned for my saftey, but so am I. Right now I am going to write my local news channel and tell them that the kids that work at Auburn Tire are magical. They have to be, they are the only ones who can mount truck tires.

PS. If it helps, I will be enlisting the help of my father and a good friend. Both of which have many more years of tire experience than most crusty old tire men.
