If you want to fill pitts and stuff use POR Patch and then POR over it after the patch drys. It will work great!
Get the patch as smooth as you can before it drys because sanding it in almosts impossible and getting a smooth finish will be next to impossible to do. On a frame it wouldnt be a big deal.
